Schema Scope
The European Research Council (ERC), founded in 2007, pioneers EU research across all disciplines and aims to boost quality and global standing of European research. ERC focuses on competitive grants based on scientific excellence and supports high-risk, high-reward projects for researchers at all career stages. It encourages collaboration and innovative ventures.
There are 27 ERC panels: 11 in Physical Sciences & Engineering; 9 in Life Sciences; 7 in Social Sciences & Humanities. A mapping of WoS Classification to ERC Panel was provided by Université de Lille.
