The scheduled monthly dataset refresh for September 26 will be moved to October 17.
During testing, we identified an issue with how citation counts were being calculated for a small subset of records. As part of the Web of Science indexing, both source records and cited references are systematically evaluated to accurately track "times cited" counts across all databases. This process includes identifying overlapping records (for example, records that appear in both the Science Citation Index and Medline) to ensure correct clustering of related records.
To ensure the InCites dataset fully reflects the corrected counts:
- The next dataset refresh will take place on October 17 instead of September 26.
- This October 17 release will include Web of Science data up to September 30 cut-off date, instead of August 31.
- Because of this expanded mid-October release, there will not be a separate dataset refresh on October 31.
Thank you for you understanding and patience as we work to maintain the highest data quality standards.
